Becky Watson, MBA, Board Certified Music Therapist and Paul F. Aravich, PhD, a neuroscientist and Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS) professor facilitate an interactive, educational and entertaining workshop on how Music Boosts Brain Health with Boomwhackers.

This Health Beat Video is LIVE from the 34th Annual Peninsula’s Agency on Aging Community Forum on Aging “Aging For the Fun of It” – held at the Freeman Center, Christopher Newport University campus, Newport News, VA.

This presentation began with Becky facilitating a group music making activity with colorful boomwhackers. Then Dr. Aravich illustrated how the various parts brain were impacted and engaged though group music making.
