Guest Lecture for Musician’s Health Course, ODU Music Majors:

Foundations of the Scientific and Evidenced Based Research of the Biological Benefits of Drumming”   Overview of Research by Neurologist Barry Bittman, M.D. discovered that a specific group drumming approach (HealthRHYTHMS protocol) significantly increased the disease fighting activity of circulating white blood cells, decreased anxiety, boosted the immune system, enhanced exercise and group bonding.
